Justice delivered after 10 years

This man is going to jail, 10 years after comitting a gruesome crime (rape and murder) in New Delhi, India. In the initial trial back in 1999, the judge acquitted him. According to BBC
But while acquitting Singh, the judge lashed out at the prosecution.

He said the investigating agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation, had manipulated evidence and ignored proper procedures.

He said he knew the defendant was guilty but was obliged to acquit him.

This man's luck though ran out in the second trial which just concluded. For more on this read BBC.

Mashing up Google Maps and Ethnic Dining in United States

Ethnic dining in United StatesIn the Forbes article (issue 10/16) titled "Google Industrial Complex",this image of my Ethnic Dining Google Maps Mashup is shown (in print only).

The following note goes along with this image: "Map Mashups used to look like this chart of ethnic restaurants in Detroit. Now they're getting better looking, like this effort from HBO, where viewers can spot murder location from the The Sopranos"
(Image of HBO mashup is then shown)

One look at GoogleMapsMania or ProgrammableWeb and you can see how sophisticated the mashups are getting.

It was a tremendous honor though to have one my mashup images displayed in a reputed magazine like FORBES.

This mashup defaults to the Detroit Location, however this mashup is applicable to any zip code or city, state in United States.
