A Decade ago today - Dolly the Sheep

A Decade ago today scientists at the Roslin Institute in Scotland, UK , announced the birth of a cloned sheep - Dolly, seven months after the fact.

Dolly the Sheep was born, July 5th, 1996 and died on February 14th 2003.

Dolly's stuffed remains lie at the Royal Museum in Edinburgh, Scotland.
