Michigan India Radio Personalities

Following are the few well known Indian Radio Personalities here in the state of Michigan:

Rajiv Sanghvi - Host/Producer of Swar Bahar Radio Program WNZK 690 AM Sundays 11-Noon. A second generation American Born Indian hosts an hour of Popular Indian Music, Interviews with your favorite Bollywood Stars and Local Community Leaders. The Show has been broadcasted since 1986 on the most powerful ethnic radio station in the country, WNZK. Over the past 20 years the show has had the likes of Rekha, Asha Bhosle, R.D Burman, Anil Kapoor, Sharukh Khan, Preety Zinta, Saif Ali Khan, Sunil Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Kalyanjibhai, Anu Malik and Ashwariya Rai as well as many other Bollywood Personalities. Rajiv is a member of the Novi Rotary Club and also a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. Novi Rotary Club is one of the few in the world to have been chosen as a Paul Harris Fellow Club. The Novi Rotary Club was active in the Program that has nearly eliminated Polio from India and around the world. The club also has helped in the purification systems of water in certain areas of Gujarat.

Subhash Kelkar - Host of Geetanjali Radio Program (1460 AM WPON Saturday 9AM - 10AM) in Detroit continuously since April 10, 1977. Has been working in this field since 1971.

Mumtaz Haque - Host of Manoranjan Show every Sunday 9 AM - 11 AM on WPON 1460 AM

Prem Rawat - Known also by the honorary title Maharaji, has traveled the world for more than three decades, inspiring people to find peace within. Narendra Sheth - Host of Geetmala every Saturday on WPON1460AM from 11AM-1PM. Mr. Sheth is a well-respected member of the community and has received awards and accolades from various Organizations in the areas of Music, Culture, Humanity, Education and Religion. He is also a recipient of a coveted "Paul Harris Fellow Award" from the International Rotary Club for his services to the national and international communities.
