Google Earth View of Russia from Alaska

The Alaskan island from where you can see Russia is called Little Diomede. Only about 150 Alaskans live on the whole island. And just about two miles away; in full view of every single house on the island is the nation of Russia. Specifically, it is the Russian Island of Big Diomede which sits about 25 miles from the Russian Siberian mainland (which you can also see from the American island.) Most everybody on Little Diomede had relatives who lived on Big Diomede.(CNN)
And here's Google Earth View from Palin's Alaska to Putin's Russia:

Uninsured in America (Health Insurance)

Was looking over data from census.gov relating to Health Insurance in United States from 2005-2007. Texas tops the list with approx. 25% of the population without health insurance (Is that possible or am I looking a the wrong data --> census.gov). Massachusetts and Hawaii are supposedly the best in providing Health Insurance with approx. 8% of the population not being insured (Best? Nothing to be proud of!!).

Sad state of affairs and our presidential candidates are bickering about LIPSTICK!!

Here's a Google Maps View of "Uninsured in America".

Google Hot Trends + Twitter Search

I got the idea for this mashup yesterday morning while looking into Twitter API's. Couple of weeks back I had created a Google Maps Mashup of Google Hot Trends which showed Top 10 cities where the search is originating from. But this mashup was looking at historical data.

So Google Hot Trends + Twitter Search mashup is an attempt at looking into why certain keywords on Google Search is trending up by looking into who is twittering that keyword. (Also check out the version for India).
